“HEROES” was created in 1986 as the first comic book by Peter A. DeLuca’s AKAPAD. Often, we forget who we want to be, as we all know the tired, overused old term “life happens.” As overused as that term is, it’s true. However, the world we live in allows for a correction of sorts. When I created “HEROES,” I thought making comics would be a fun “thing” to do. Then, life happens, and you realize some things that seem simple and fun are full of pain.
